The NCCD, formed in 1943 under the Conservation District Law, is a subdivision of state government and is one of 66 Conservation Districts throughout the state of Pennsylvania. The purpose of the Conservation District is to promote protection, maintenance, improvement, and wise use of the land, water, and other natural resources. The NCCD does this by setting yearly Goals and Objectives.
Scheduled Programs for the week of September 3rd: The Conservation District Office will be closed Monday, September 3rd for Labor Day. We will reopen Tuesday, September 4th at 8AM.
Conservation District Board Meeting will be Thursday, September 6th at 7pm in the Dave Unger Environmental Education Center, Plum Creek Road, Sunbury.
